Last term we have been learning about the seven kites of Matariki. We join with room 1 and made some kites in groups. We used material, bamboo, some wire, paper faces and some flax, feathers and more. This is my version of the story.
The seven kites
'I lost my kite' said the younger sister, 'oh where could it be,'
She cried. 'Don't worry little sister your kite is high in the sky with the other six,' said the older sister. She saw the seven stars and the younger sister said 'how wonderful!'
